Quick Start
Spend 10 minutes to set up your workspace and start working with your first AI agent.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Sign up for free using email or a Google account.
Step 2: Upload Your First Documents
Start building your knowledge base by uploading documents, PDFs, or connecting to your existing tools.
AI in the Portals platform works using your knowledge. At a glance, there are notes (documents) and tables (data) for different use cases. Both are readable by AI and are automatically indexed and organized within your knowledge system.
Step 3: Assistant
The AI assistant is available on the right side panel of your notes workspace whenever you have currently selected a document (not an agent).
The assistant is for general purposes, and can retrieve info and answer questions based on your knowledge.
Step 4: Build Your First Agent
Agents are an extension of the capabilities shown by the AI assistant that works directly with your knowledge base and other applications.
- Create agents by clicking on create (command + k) and choosing the new agent option.
- Provide instructions in plain language where document content usually goes
- On the right side panel under "Agent" tab with the gear icon, select additional configurations such as when to run the agent.
Without touching the settings, you can start immediately testing out your first agent by navigating to the "Chat" tab when an agent doc is selected and send a message. The agent will use the instructions and resources you wrote instead of default instructions.
